Shockwave Wins a Big One!

The Hillsboro Optimist sponsored Robotics Team, Shockwave from Glencoe High School, just completed its first event of the season and won the best robot award and the prestigious Chairman's Award. The Chairman's Award is the most valuable prize in FIRST robotics and it recognizes teams that not only run a great engineering program but also engage the community through service and collaboration. We should all understand the powerful message these teens carry to younger students and for business leaders to appreciate the workforce development success that is being accomplished.  Stay tuned for future competitions you can attend and see this team in action.
