| 2013 Respect for Law Breakfast |
Once again the Hillsboro Optimist Club in conjunction with the Hillsboro Police Department, honored members of the HPD for their work with the community.
Michael Rouches, Public Information Officer for the HPD presented short introductions of each recipient as well as their plaques from the Hillsboro Optimist Club. The two recipients for this year were Sharon Brown and Sgt. Eric Bunday.
“While we always honor service, this year we honor being present and caring,” said Rouches.

Bunday was honored for his tireless work with the Fallen Badge Association and his commitment to helping the families and communities of fallen officers.

Sharon Brown
Brown runs the Domestic Violence Program through the Hillsboro Police Department. Rouches spoke of her tireless advocacy for victims, as well as her ability to give a voice to victims in order to stop the cycle of violence in a family or community.
