Brad Green, Dean of Students at Century High School, gave us a presentation on the work of IDEAS (International Development and Educational Associates) and OM (Organization Mobilization).
IDEAS is organization of Christian professionals undertaking to work with underserved people in India (the Untouchables or Dalots).
Brad recently visited Hyderabad (a city of 40 million) to teach the teachers. Note that this work is in defiance of local social conventions and workers frequently receive death threats; there is also little government support or encouragement.
