Washington County Visitor's Association Visits

Today's guest speaker, Allison George, Stakeholder Development Manager for the Washington County Visitor's Association, visited with news of future volunteer opportunities for the Hillsboro Optimist Club, as well as highlights on the current work of the organization.
The Washington County Visitor's Association is focused on attracting not only visitors to the county, but current residents that perhaps are unaware of the bounty of activities found here. Allison pointed out that from museums to wineries to bed and breakfasts, the county is bursting with fun and engaging things to do.
Volunteering for the Visitor's Association is always needed, as the more volunteers the county can offer to different event planners, the more likely it is the event comes to Washington County. Optimist members can look forward to volunteering by helping at tournaments, handing out packets of information to tourists, and helping with outdoor activities sponsored by the association.
